Winter Bainbridge Island Market Report

By some measures, King County was more of a seller’s market in November than at any time since the residential cooldown began 18 months ago. There were more buyers chasing fewer homes for sale than any time since May 2018. Although it is not a full on seller’s market on Bainbridge Island, the market shifted from having 7 months of inventory in September 2019—a buyer’s market— to having 6 months of inventory last month in November—a neutral market.

Unlike Seattle, which had fewer new listings this November than the same month the three previous years, Bainbridge Island had 32 new listings hit the market this November. This is up 60% from new listings last November. In total there were 46% more properties for sale on the island in November 2019—208, in comparison to the 105 properties for sale in November 2018.
