The power of creative and beautiful staging in a home can make all the difference when a buyer comes to view the home. After all, this is potentially the largest purchase someone will make in their life; and as a Realtor or seller, staging your home is like making the best first impression possible. I fully believe in the power of a well-staged home and feel very fortunate to work with my wife, Suzy Legier, and offer her professional services on the properties I represent. However, not all brokers have a built-in, or regular, designer or stager that they work with on listings; but my brokerage is now offering groundbreaking staging opportunities to anyone with a smartphone. In a recent announcement, Sotheby's International Affiliates, LLC introduced Curate by Sotheby's International Realty, the first real estate-branded augmented reality (AR) app.  This virtual staging AR app allows home shoppers to visualize a home as their own before purchasing. The app takes virtually staged images from a flat, 2-D phone or tablet screen into the house itself through the power of AR.

The Sotheby's app as also partnered with luxury furniture and accessories marketplace, Viyet, to launch shoppable scenes. The Curate app was originally built with ARCore, Google's AR software platform and is powered by roOomy
